Providing a look at some submitted photos that did not appear in First Edition of "Blackledges in America."    Note:  descendant numbers from the Second Edition for Chapter 5 [Sept 2011 database] have been inserted in the photo captions to provide "Blackledges in America" identification references.

1. The Last Quaker:   Photo at left is of Caroline Elizabeth Lewis [sp:390], b. Jun 1832 and known in the family as "the last Quaker."   Caroline was the mother of Lewis (H.) Blackledge (shown at right)The Judge:   Photo at right is of Lewis (H.) Blackledge, about the time he was elected to serve as District Judge in Nebraska.
