Hiram as Private:  Hiram Blackledge [446] enlisted in 1861 and was severely wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg.  This photo is from that period, c. 1863.

Chester's parents:   Della Mae (Covington)  and Milton Harvey Carter [7:4]with young son Chester [7:16], c. 1914 in KS.  Chester , age 25:  Chester Carter [7:16], c. 1939, Corpus Christi, TX.

Charles and Jewell are Della's children by her second marriage, to Charles Arthur Wilson.  c. 1940.
